How can I restrict a chain authorization?
If multiple users within your organization have access to chain authorizations, you can choose to restrict access to a specific chain authorization. This ensures that only selected users can use it. This article explains how.
Step 1: Restrict a Chain Authorization
You can restrict a chain authorization received from another organization. This means that, by default, users within your organization will not have access to the received chain authorization unless you explicitly grant them access.
To restrict a chain authorization, you must have an Administrator Authorization.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to My Reconi.
- Click Received Chain Authorizations.
- Locate the chain authorization you want to restrict and click the edit (pencil) icon on the right.
- Select Yes for the question "Would you like to restrict this chain authorization?"
- Click Confirm.
Step 2: Grant Access to Employees
Once the chain authorization has been restricted, you can grant access to individual employees. You can either assign access to one user at a time or grant access to multiple users in a single action.
- Go to Chain Authorizations > Chain Authorization Restrictions.
- At the bottom of the page, click Add Employee Access.
- Choose one of the following options:
Option 1: I want to grant multiple users access for one organization
- Under Authorizing Organization, select the organization whose chain authorization you restricted in Step 1.
- Use the single red arrow to grant access to the selected users.

- To grant access to all employees, click the double arrow.
Option 2: I want to grant one user access for one or more organizations
- Under Authorizing Organization, select one or more restricted client organizations.
- Under Intermediary, select your own organization (the organization that received the chain authorization).
- Select the user who should receive access.
- Click Save.
