eHerkenning For Customs

In order to log in to Customs EU Trader Portal, you need eHerkenning with assurance level EH3. 

Attention: In order to logon to the Customs CBAM Portal, the authorizations mentioned in the article below are required instead of the 'CBAM' authorization.

To start an application, follow these steps:

1. Start an application for eHerkenning at level eH3.

2. Follow the steps in the application process.

Because of our link with the Chamber of Commerce register, after entering the Chamber of Commerce number, the organization details are automatically filled out. The second step asks for user data. Are you the user, and not the director of the organization you are going to log in on behalf of? Then an additional step appears where you can enter the representative's data. In the authorizations tab, you can specify the duration of the eHerkenning. In addition, you need to select at least the following authorization at assurance level 3 for logging in to the EU Trader Portal:

Service provider: Customs 
Service: EU Trader Portal Customs

Do you also want to log in to service providers other than Customs? In that case, we recommend that you select an authorization for all services from all service providers.

3. Print out the application form and get it signed
After the online application process is completed, the PDF version of the application form can be downloaded immediately. The application form should be printed out and signed by the authorized representative(s) as registered with the Chamber of Commerce (CoC). 
It should be sent to our postal address: Reconi, Postbus 244, 1500 EE Zaandam.

4. Processing application eHerkenning Reconi
Once we have received the signed application form by mail, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. From this moment on, the processing time is a few working days. In certain cases, identification via our partner AMP Group (via the AMP Identification app, or at a location determined by you) may be required.
